Introducing Your Guide on this Journey

Janice Petty

I am a Virginia Board Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner, and Master Addictions Counselor.

I began my journey as a counselor in 1993 and soon discovered my passion for helping individuals and groups heal and rebuild their lives and relationships. As a result of my new love for therapy and group education, I earned an MA degree from Hampton University. I later became licensed in the states of the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.

My holistic therapeutic approach is interactive, empathic, and directive. I will partner with you consistently in a safe, non-judgmental, confidential, and nurturing environment to gain an understanding of your barriers. As a facilitator, we will partner together. We will focus on your strengths to empower you to make healthier life choices, overcome obstacles, and improve relationships with others. This will include utilizing various evidence-based therapeutic modalities and exercises.

My overall goal is to assist you in meeting the requirements of your local DMV, courts, and VASAP while offering insight into your drinking patterns.

Let’s get started today - I look forward to meeting you!
